I started photography the summer before attending College. The idea was to continue a project a friend had done throughout high school. His work still inspires me, so I wanted to keep creating work he would love. For this photoshoot, I chose to experiment with dance photography. Having grown up in a dance community, I learned what it is to be in that realm. I decided to pursue a different route to continue being a part of the family I love, even though I can no longer compete. In this project, I experimented with movement, using gel lights to capture the passion the dancers exhibit, and it truly came out beautifully.

Life has thrown me countless “you can’t” moments, but I’ve made a habit of proving them wrong. From embracing independence to thriving with dyslexia, I’ve found my passion for graphic design, my people, and my voice. The word “can’t” has never stopped me—and it never will.
